Recently, ITCJ has received several requests from developing countries to assist in their own tourism-related promotions and campaigns. On the basis of our expertise in attracting and accommodating foreign tourists, ITCJ has actively provided a variety of support to these countries. ITCJ sends experts to such countries and provides consulting services in the areas of tourism infrastructure, tourism development research and tourism policy. We provide such services in connection with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) as part of the Japanese government’s overseas development assistance (ODA) scheme.

In 2004, ITCJ experts were dispatched as instructors for tourism training sessions held in Japan by JICA for trainees from Iran, Lebanon, Bosnia and Brazil. ITCJ also took part in preliminary surveys for tourism infrastructure development projects in India. An ITCJ consulting staff member will be sent to Oman to assist in the development of eco-tourism in that country.
