ITCJ actively participates in the tourism promotion committees of local governments in Japan and provides consulting services to help promote international tourism, attract foreign tourists and advise establishments and organizations on receiving and accommodating visitors from abroad. In addition, ITCJ is also involved in programs that invite foreign tourist industry representatives and other tourism-related events.

Cooperation with Local Governments

ITCJ holds seminars on attracting and receiving foreign tourists in local regions of Japan. Recently held seminars include the New Kitakyushu Airport Inbound Promotion Seminar, the Chitose Airport Inbound Promotion Seminar and Cruise Promotion Seminars in Nagasaki, Kobe and Hiroshima. In addition, ITCJ cooperates in the inbound travel business of local governments at their request.

Invitation of Media Representatives and Tour Operators

ITCJ staff accompany foreign media representatives and tour operators on their tours of Japan and offer guidance and information on the attractiveness of Japan as a tourist destination and on the development of package tour programs.

International Expositions and Events

ITCJ takes part in and provides support to tourism-related events both in Japan and abroad, promoting the attractiveness of Japan as a travel destination for foreign tourists. ITCJ has operated many exhibitions including the Lisbon International Exhibition.
