How to Make a Reservation

You can book a room at a Welcome Inn using one of the following methods.
Please note that WIRC will renew its reservation system and website at the beginning of April 2005 and that the following booking procedue is accordingly subject to change.

  1. Direct Booking (through our System)
    You can book a reservation at Welcome Inns directly through our website. The application button is at the bottom of each member's page. Clicking the button will then take you to the "Terms and Conditions" page. If you agree to the conditions, you can proceed with your application for a reservation. You may receive the response by e-mail from the Welcome Inn through the system.

  2. Application Through WIRC

    If you choose a Welcome Inn without Internet access, we will transfer your request to them and answer you on their behalf through the system. The application button is at the bottom of each member's page. Clicking the button will then take you to the "Terms and Conditions" page. If you agree to the conditions, you can proceed with your application for a reservation.

    Important Notice
    Application through WIRC is not accepted during New Year Holiday Period (usually Dec. 29 - Jan. 3).
    NOTE: WIRC accepts reservation requests for parties of up to 10 persons

  3. At Booking Counters in Japan
    You can find WIRC booking counters at Narita’s New Tokyo International Airport (at the Tourist Information Centers in each of the airport terminals), at Osaka’s Kansai Airport (at the Tourist Information Center), and in central Tokyo and central Kyoto. For exact locations, click here.

Peak Periods

If you are planning to travel in Japan during the following peak periods, please reserve as early as you can.
    New Year Holidays: December 29 to January 3
    Cherry Blossoms: Late March through early April
    Golden Week: April 29 to May 5
    O-Bon: Second and third weeks of August
    Leaf Season: Middle to late November (particularly in Kyoto)

Note: (1)When a national holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday becomes a holiday.
(2) When a day (except for Sundays and the above) falls between national holidays, it becomes a holiday itself.
This rule is applicable for the 4th of May.
